INHS, a regional affordable housing nonprofit organization, is looking for a full-time home repair specialist to provide health and safety improvements to low-income households throughout Tompkins County. $500 hiring bonus also available.

Home Repair Specialists are responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the Minor Repair Program. The responsibilities include the evaluation of service requests, health and safety check, materials cost estimating, preparation of required documents, pulling permits and the execution of construction activities. Repairs may include carpentry, flooring work, minor plumbing and electrical repair, and other repairs as needed with a particular focus on health and safety concerns. General knowledge of building trades’ practices and codes, as well as good communication and organizational skills are essential.

Salary range: $40,000 to $45,000

Salary range: $38,000 to $43,000
